Web 2.0 are those websites that make the sharing of information easier, exchanging processes and data, having a user-centred design.
Web 2.0 allows the users to interact with other users or exchange contents of the website. Completely different to the normal websites (non-interactive), where the users are limited to passively view the information provided.
Practical examples of Web 2.0
- Facebook: Allows the user to receive comments, information, promotions, photographs and videos... from people, groups or pages that are friends or fans and interact. If a website has a share button, the user can share the contents interactively.
- Twitter: Allows the user to receive "tweets" from comments, information, promotions, links from people or companies of which they are fans. If a website has a share button, the user can share the contents interactively.
- RSS: It is a very simple way as the users directly receive on their computer or in a single webpage the updated news published on the websites to which the user has subscribed.
- YouTube: The user can upload a video to YouTube, share it, comment on it and insert it in a website.
- Google Maps: Allows integrating your map in a website, as well as to include details and be able to carry out searches.
